Man shot during parking dispute between neighbors at Eaglecrest High School

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — A man was shot during a dispute between neighbors about a parking space on Sunday morning, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.

The shooting happened between Eaglecrest High School and Thunder Ridge Middle School just before 9:30 a.m., officials said.

A sheriff’s spokeswoman said the two men agreed to meet at Eaglecrest High School to settle the dispute.

The sheriff’s office said during the course of the argument, a 31-year-old man shot his 46-year-old neighbor.

The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

The suspect went home after the shooting, called 911 to say what happened and was arrested after deputies arrived.

The names of the men were not released. The shooting is being investigated as an attempted murder.
