DENVER — A man wanted for kidnapping and felony menacing at a motel on Thursday morning has been arrested, the Denver Police Department said.

Roger Reynolds, 26, is also accused of firing a weapon about 8 a.m. at the Motel 6 at 3050 W. 49th Ave., near Federal Boulevard and Interstate 70.

Officials say DPD officers were chasing Reynolds when he fired shots at officers. No officers were hit.

Authorities have not yet said whether officers returned fire.

Reynolds then fled in a vehicle.

Later Tuesday afternoon, Lakewood police officers and Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies tracked Reynolds to Planet Honda on West Colfax Avenue in Golden.

Authorities say Reynolds ditched the vehicle he was in and ran. Officers were able to catch up to him and arrest him.

Police also arrested a female who was with Reynolds. Authorities did not release her name or connection to the incident, but she is not believed to be a victim.
