560 fire burning 68 acres near Cheesman Reservoir


JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — Authorities say a fire started approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 off Forest Road 560. The fire did not grow overnight and crews continue to build and strengthen firelines today.

No structures are in danger and no evacuations have been ordered. Infrared video was taken of the #560Fire and smoke can be seen from burning dead trees.

The fire is in the area of Forest Road 560, three miles northwest of Cheesman Reservoir.

Jefferson County Sheriff offers thank you to Northfork Fire, US Forrest Service, Evergreen Fire, Elk Creek Fire, Genesee Fire, Inter Canyon Fire, Indian Hills Fire, Foothills Fire, and Platte Canyon Fire.
