GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. — Evacuations were lifted after a wildfire broke out near the Glenwood Springs Municipal Airport on Wednesday afternoon, the Glenwood Springs Fire Department said.

Residents in the Four Mile Ranch subdivision and lower Four Mile houses south of Glenwood Springs were evacuated, officials said.

Because of the rapid response, the Sunrise Court Fire was limited to about 15 acres and the evacuation order was lifted about 7:45 p.m., fire officials said.

Type 3 crews monitored the fire overnight and mop-up of the site took place Thursday morning.

No structures were lost and there were no known injuries, officials said.
