Driver rescued, passenger arrested after rollover crash in Boulder County

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — The driver of an SUV had to be rescued after being trapped after a rollover crash in Boulder County on Monday morning.

The crash, which only involved a 1997 Ford Explorer, happened about 8:50 a.m. on Lookout Road near North 95th Street, the Colorado State Patrol said.

The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Chase Golden, was trapped in the SUV after the rollover and had to be rescued.

He was taken to a hospital, but his condition is unknown.

Golden’s passenger, 22-year-old Ryan Cain, was not injured but was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant on an unrelated manner and was taken into custody, the Colorado State Patrol.

The crash is under investigation, but the Colorado State Patrol said says it was weather related.
