Crash closes eastbound I-70 at Vail Pass

VAIL, Colo. — Eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 were closed on Vail Pass because of a crash on Wednesday, the Colorado State Patrol said.

Traffic was stopped at the exit for East Vail (Exit 180).

One vehicle caught fire in the crash, the Colorado Department of Transportation said. It’s not known if there were any injuries.

The interstate reopened about 4 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
