AURORA, Colo. — Aurora police have removed a suspicious items left at the Best Buy at Southland’s Mall late Thursday night.

Police said that the items found “were suspicious in nature but they were not explosives.”

Around 11 p.m. Thursday, Aurora police tweeted that officers evacuated the store and the parking lot.

About 40 minutes later, police said the device was removed by the bomb squad and their robot. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

Best Buy remained closed overnight and reopened at 8 a.m. Friday morning.

Aurora police said there is no threat to the public.
