ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. – A 19-year-old Littleton man has been sentenced to supervised probation after making a plea deal in an Internet Luring case involving a 13-year-old girl.

George Anthony West was charged with Internet Luring of a Child and Attempted Sexual Assault. Police say he was arrested when he tried to meet with the young girl to have sex.

West started communicating with the victim on Facebook, where his messages became sexual in nature, according the victim’s mother.

“I apologize to the victim and her family,” West said in court Friday morning. “I want to get on with my life.”

West’s mother, Dawn Hubbart, also spoke during his sentencing.

“He’s a good kid, and he’s still a kid,” she said. “I wish this on no one. I hope you have mercy on my son. He knows what he did was wrong. Our son is not a pedophile.”
