COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A landlord is in trouble with the law after allegedly having sex in a couple’s bed, according to KKTV.

Officials with the Colorado Springs Police Department said the people who live in the apartment have video proof.

Logan Pierce is a tenant of landlord Carlos Quijada and he was startled to get an alert on his phone that there was unusual activity in his home.

“I got a notification from one of the cameras on lunch the other day that it detected noise and was strange because both of us work all day everyday,” Pierce said.

One of those cameras is set up in the bedroom of his apartment at Skyway Condominiums.

“I opened up the camera and kind of had to like quit the program and like restart it again because I didn’t really believe what I saw,” he said.

When he reopened it, he found a clear picture of his landlord having sex on his and his wife’s bed.

“I guess the first thing that went through my mind was like complete and utter disbelief,” Pierce said.

Pierce immediately called his wife, telling her they needed to move. His next call was to local police.

“Landlords don’t have the ability to go into tenant apartments and do whatever they want to do,” police Lt. Howard Black said.

Quijada declined to comment.

Pierce’s lease, like many, says the landlord has the right to enter the apartment, but police said this case is felony trespassing.

Pierce said the worst part is what the two used as a towel to clean up — his wife’s wedding dress.

“To see how upset she immediately got because she was the one that realized that’s what that was and they just threw it back and now that’s gone because the authorities took it for DNA evidence,” Pierce said.

Quijada is facing criminal charges for what was caught on camera. An arrest warrant has been issued for felony trespass and misdemeanor obscenity.
