DENVER — A crash involving a semitrailer forced the closure of northbound Interstate 25 at University Boulevard on Friday morning, causing a traffic nightmare for the morning commute. A jackknifed semi blocked three of the four lanes of traffic and three other vehicles were involved, with one of them under one of the three semitrailers. The Denver Police Department said there were no major injuries. It’s not known what caused the crash. Vehicles were getting by in the left lane and traffic quickly backed up to Evans Avenue in the immediate aftermath of the accident before police shut down the interstate. RELATED: Traffic updates Traffic was taken off at University but at about 6:30 a.m., one lane of traffic was reopened.
