HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – Hundreds of people spent their Saturday watching and participating in Ed McCaffery’s “Dare to Play” football camp presented by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation.

Individuals with Down syndrome, ages ranging from 10 to 35, hit the grid iron at Valor Christian High School after being prepped dexterously by former All Pro wide receiver and three-time Super Bowl champion Ed McCaffery and other former professional athletes.

Celebrity coaches for each team were Jack Del Rio, current defensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos, and Brian Dawkins, former safety of the Denver Broncos.

The Denver Broncos cheerleaders were also there to lead the half time performance by the “Dare to Cheer” camp made up of individuals with Down syndrome ranging from ages 7 to 45.
