RELATED: Pinpoint Weather Forecast

It will stay cloudy and cold on Friday with snow early and again late in the day.  There will be a few flurries early on Saturday followed by some sunshine.  But, we are still in the deep freeze with highs in the 20s.

Sunday will start off quiet and we should be able to get just above freezing.  However, by late in the day another chance of snow returns to the area.  We do have flurries and cold in the forecast for the Broncos-Patriots game.

We finally say goodbye to the snow with more sunshine on Monday and temperatures back in the 40s.  We will stay mainly sunny with a slow warming trend through the end of next week.

Denver Public Works crews were ready and on duty to respond to the changing weather conditions with deicing materials.

Passenger traffic was light at Denver International Airport on Thursday, but the weather did cause some delays.

Travel Tips for Passengers

  • Travelers should check their flight status before leaving for the airport with their airline or on the airport's website.
  • Motorists should drive with caution and allow extra time when heading to the airport.
  • A good rule of thumb is to be inside the airport two hours prior to flight departure time. This should allow for plenty of time to navigate flight check-in, security lines and travel to the gate.
  • Garages often become full during inclement weather. Passengers can guarantee a reserved parking spaces in the garages by visiting and check parking availability at the DIA website.
