Husband taken into custody in Nevada after wife found dead in Thornton home

THORNTON, Colo. — Stefan Stoian, who was wanted in the death of his wife whose body was found in their Thornton home this week, was taken into custody in Sparks, Nev., late Thursday night, the Thornton Police Department said.

Stoian, 47, was taken into custody just before midnight PDT.

His wife was found dead in the 7500 block of East 121st Place on Wednesday after police said a relative of the victim found her dead. The cause and manner of her death will be determined by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

Stoian is being held in Nevada pending an extradition hearing. He was wanted for first-degree murder and domestic violence.
