DENVER -- Two Colorado moms are cooking up something special in their kitchens.

But it’s not anything they can eat.

Rhonda Sheya, 58, of Arvada, and Lauren Miller, 47, of Highlands Ranch, have teamed up to help others lose weight—and get in better shape through exercise.

In a kitchen in Highlands Ranch are ingredients not to a hearty recipe -- but a hearty workout.

Forget the gym.

"I don't like the gym. I don't like to go because I'm heavy and I don’t look good. And everybody in there is skinny," says Sheya. And she says her exercise equipment in the basement is a great clothes hanger.

Instead, cancer survivors Sheya and Miller work out in the same place they make meals.

"What do I most when I'm in the house? I'm cooking and cleaning and it's evolved into doing exercise in the kitchen and doing things I had accessible to me," says Sheya.

That includes using countertops, crockpots and canned goods.

"People don't like the word ‘exercise.’ 'What are you kidding me? I am too stressed to de-stress. I'm too stressed to take care of my body to go to the gym for a half hour,’" says Miller.

For Sheya, it's meant losing 60 pounds and six sizes in one year.

It also encouraged both women to help others with a workout video called Do It In the Kitchen 20-Minute Workout.

The ladies also say you can take these exercises out of the kitchen and into your everyday life, like at work, sitting at your desk. You can engage your abs by lifting your legs, as long as you do it consistently.

"The whole theme of this is how can we incorporate what people are already doing. It's opening doors to our home and saying, 'Hey, this is what we do. Try it.'"

It's just 20 minutes a day.

They are cooking up better bodies and healthier lives.

It’s a recipe of success they're eating up like a scrumptious four-course meal.

Their video will come out the first of the year.

Their video will be available the first of the year, a recipe of success that you can learn more about on their Facebook page.
