FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A 2-year-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped by her great-grandparents in Fort Collins was found safe late Sunday night, Fort Collins Police Services said.

Mary Anabelle Denton was taken by her great-grandparents, Carl and Barbara Denton, but they don’t have custodial rights and failed to return the girl to her legal guardians on Saturday night, police said.

Police said the couple was driving a 1996 dark blue Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Explorer with a Colorado license plate of 137-SMZ.

The girl and her great-grandparents were found in Loveland. The girl was unharmed.

The Dentons were arrested on felony charges of second-degree kidnapping and violation of a custody order.
