DENVER -- It's a time of the year that beer lovers can't help but love. the Great American Beer Fest is bringing more than 3,000 different brews right to downtown Denver.

The festival, which kicked off Thursday and stretches through Saturday, will welcome 49,000 people to the Colorado Convention Center. The event is celebrating its 32nd year and brings together hundreds of brewers from Colorado and across the country.

Officials with the Great American Beer Festival estimate the city of Denver could receive a $7 million economic boost because of the event.

Those lucky enough to get a ticket inside this sold out festival are treated to a souvenir tasting glass and one ounce pours of a variety of beers from across the country.

The event is divided into eight regions which represent different sections of the United States. More than a dozen Colorado breweries are setup for this year's event.
