Four arrests made after string of overnight robberies, short chase

AURORA, Colo. — Three men and one woman were arrested early Friday morning in connection with a string of armed robberies, the Aurora Police Department said.

The first robbery was about 2:15 a.m. at a 7-Eleven near Interstate 225 and Iliff Avenue in Aurora.

Less than a half-hour later, a 7-Eleven was robbed in Denver at Yosemite Street and 11th Avenue, police said.

Aurora police were called just after 4 a.m. to a report of a robbery at Bradley Station at Havana Street and 11th Avenue.

About 4:15 a.m., Aurora police saw the suspects near Havana and Exposition Avenue in a black Pontiac Grand Am. After trying to stop the vehicle, the suspects fled before crashing into a fence behind the Maya Sports Bar and Grill on Havana.

The four suspects were apprehended and taken into custody. Their names and any charges they could be facing were not released by police.

There were no injuries, police said.
