DENVER -- For 35 years, Jim Ponzi was a Denver Police Officer.

Now, he does his crime fighting from the classroom.

An Associate Professor of Criminology at Denver’s Regis University, the former lieutenant is watching with a close eye, as threats are made at businesses, hospitals and schools, across the globe, with apparent greater frequency.

He says threats can be broken up into 3 categories:

  1. Revenge
  2. Diversion
  3. Conditional
