DENVER — What does it take for a jury of 12 people to put their minds together and decide whether a killer deserves to live or die?

The death penalty phase begins in the Aurora theater shooting trial Wednesday morning. Jurors will hear a few more weeks worth of testimony as the prosecution tries to convince them James Holmes should go to death row, and his defense attorneys try to save his life.

Julie Hayden introduces us to a former juror in another death penalty case who goes through what this jury will face.
