DENVER -- Flooding swept through some areas affected by the 2012 High Park fire on Friday, closing some roads.

The National Weather Service issued a warning for parts of Larimer County from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. due to heavy rain. In and around Fort Collins, Stove Prarie Road, Rist Canyon Road and Highway 23 saw some flood conditions, the Denver Post reported.

The National Weather Service expected between 1.5 inches and 3 inches of rain in the burn scar. Anyone who sees floodwater should get to higher ground immediately.
