DENVER — Five people were arrested after fleeing a stolen vehicle and they could be connected to the shooting of a man at an ATM late Wednesday night, the Denver Police Department said.
The man was approached by two men at an ATM at East Evans Avenue and South Broadway about 11 p.m., then was shot.
The man was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. His name and age have not been released.
The suspects then fled in a stolen vehicle, police said. An officer later spotted the vehicle and several people got out near South Zuni Street and West Exposition Avenue.
A perimeter was set up in the 600 block of South Zuni Street to search for the suspects and five were later arrested.
Police are investigating if the suspects are connected to the ATM shooting.
