Wildfire burns 30 acres outside of Parker

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. -- Firefighters quickly contained a 30 acre wildfire that started near 10383 Inspiration Drive, outside of Parker, on Friday afternoon.

Several agencies, including South Metro Fire Rescue and Aurora Fire Rescue, were on scene to fight the fire.

The fire was reported before 4:00 p.m. on Friday and was fully contained by 5:30 p.m., South Metro Fire said.

The fire burned close to homes, but firefighters were able to protect the structures.

It is unknown how the fire started.

The fire was the second wildfire in two days in the Parker area. On Thursday, a fire burned 30 acres and injured 2 people in the area of the 6200 block of North Crowfoot Valley Road.
