LITTLETON, Colo. -- A fire that started in the back of a house in Littleton quickly spread and ended up destroying the structure Monday.
The fire burned in the 8300 block of S. Carr St starting at about 1:30 p.m. Gusty winds made it more difficult for firefighters to extinguish the flames. In fact, they had to work hard to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring homes.
"There were just flames coming out everywhere, several places on the roof, out the back," one neighbor says.
One person was inside the house at the time. That person was not hurt. The American Red Cross says three adults were displaced.
Fire investigators were looking into how it started, but they say it is not suspicious in nature.
