DENVER — A fierce structure fire displaced two people Sunday afternoon but injured no one, the Denver Fire Department reported.

Firefighters received a report about 2:21 p.m. of a fire at 1507 W. Byers Place, DFD said. They arrived to find flames rolling out the front of the home. Firefighters went straight through the front door and extinguished the fire by 2:30 p.m. No one was home at the time of the fire.

Despite the quick response, the home is uninhabitable, DFD said. Red Cross was assisting a woman in her 50s and a male in his early 20s who lived in the home.

The cause was under investigation.
