LOVELAND, Colo. — A small fire broke out near Carter Lake on Sunday, Loveland Fire Rescue said.
The Chimney Hollow Fire was reported about 12:30 p.m. and by 5 p.m., officials said it was mostly contained. It was estimated to be one to five acres.

The fire was being fought by Berthoud, Loveland and Larimer County Emergency Services.
A single-engine air tanker contributed to fighting the fire and officials asked the public to stay away from the area.
Deployed units were released Sunday evening, but the Lyons Fire Protection District remained at the scene.
The intersection of Carpenter and Timberline roads was temporarily closed for the fire attack and crew safety.
