DENVER — Questions surround the arrest Friday of a Denver attorney.

Federal authorities arrested 48-year-old David Furtado. They say he was among several arrested in connection with an investigation into the medical marijuana industry and alleged ties to a Colombian drug cartel.

There were no details available Friday about the charges he faces.

The Drug Enforcement Administration raided about 14 businesses, grow operations and homes in November 2013.

The U.S. District Attorney’s office says those arrested and the charges they face are the subject of a sealed indictment, which won’t be made public until Monday.
