FORT MORGAN, Colo. -- More than a week after losing a member of its family, the Trujillo Family is gaining a new one.

Sunday morning, a Ft. Morgan couple dropped off a 3-month-old Dachshund puppy.

On May 16, the Trujillo’s dog, “Sebastian” was attacked and killed by a pit bull who’d gotten loose.

The family plans to hold a rally at the location of the attack, the 7-Eleven, at 3131 S. Broadway, Tuesday, from 4-7 p.m.

The family has named its new dog, “Savannah.”
