AURORA, Colo. -- The Arapahoe County bomb squad removed potentially dangerous materials from an Aurora apartment Thursday night into Friday morning.

The Aurora Police Department was called to an apartment at 15390 E. Arizona Ave. about 7:50 p.m. on a report of shots fired.

Officers determined the shots were an accidental discharge, but while inside the apartment, they found suspicious items and called the bomb squad.

Three nearby apartments were voluntarily evacuated as crews with the Aurora Fire Department and the bomb squad investigated.

Peter Eiselt, 31, was charged with illegally discharging a firearm. Additional charges are pending as the investigation continues.

No injuries were reported.
