COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A former Commerce City police officer has been charged with three counts unlawful sexual contact, the 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced Monday.

A woman reported an incident during an arrest by Officer John Reinhart, 22, in September that led to an investigation and the filing of charges.

The three counts of unlawful sexual contact involve three different women, the district attorney’s office said.

Reinhart was placed on administrative leave on Feb. 17 and he resigned from the department on Friday.
