DENVER -- Since 1890, Elitch Gardens has been attracting fun-seekers to Denver’s west side.

In 1994, the venue moved to the Platte Valley, but each summer season people flock to the amusement park for outstanding fun.

This weekend, both the rides and water slides will be open for the 2012 season.

“Our newest water event is Tube Top,” said John Pagel, Marketing Director. “This is a four-story, water tube ride powered by 12,000 gallons of water. The only light is when you drop in and come out of the event, during the ride through a dark tube filled with water. You can spin the big inner tube as much as you like to increase the drama.”

While daily tickets can be a bit pricey for some, the best value might be upgrading a daily admission ticket to a season pass for a mere $39.
