DENVER -- One of the most frustrating things about traveling can be findnig a parking space at the airport. Now Denver International Airport has come up with a way to make that part of your trip a little easier.

DIA is the 13th-busiest airport in the world and parking can be a nerve-wracking experience if you're running late for your flight. Now you can just have that space waiting for you -- for a fee.

You can go online to DIAReservedParking.com or call DIA to reserve a spot in the east or west garages, not the outside lots. You can make reservations up to a year in advance.

There is a $4 fee in addition to the regular $23 a day to park.

"We are a very busy airport. We have 40,000 parking spaces and this is 186 of that 40,000," DIA spokeswoman Julie Smith said. "We feel that's less than 1 perent of our total parking area so we should be able to function very easily with this new program."

DIA expects business travelers will be especially happy about the new reservation system.

If you park in a space without a reservation, be prepared to be ticketed or towed. DIA says large signs will let you know which spaces are reserved.

DIA says it is able to track all 186 reserved spaces so there's no danger of overbooking.
