DENVER — Eight students on board a Denver school bus went to the hospital following a crash on I-225 at Yosemite Monday morning.
Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson says it happened on the SB I-225 ramp to Yosemite around 8 a.m. while the bus was on its way to Samuels Elementary school.
He says eight students were transported and checked out for minor neck and back pain.
Jackson says the driver of the bus got a ticket for unlawful lane usage for crossing into another lane of traffic.
Denver Public Schools spokeswoman Kristy Armstrong says the children went to Swedish Medical Center, Denver Health Medical Center and the Medical Center of Aurora.
She says injuries were very minor, and the kids went to the hospital as a precaution only.
