DENVER — Once again, Denver had a strong showing on a list of the best places to live in the United States.

This time, Denver ranked No. 4 on Vocativ’s rankings of the best cities for people age 35 and younger. The site makes the obligatory pot joke before getting down to brass tacks:

“Something you can’t account for in data is how pretty a place is, and in that regard, Denver’s plentiful park space with places like Red Rocks, as well as the nearby snowcapped mountains, makes it pretty heavenly,” the site’s editors write.

The list also noted Denver’s variety of pro sports, food and drink scenes, and relatively bright jobs outlook.

Denver ranked ahead of several cities generally considered to be hotspots for young professionals: Austin, Texas; Seattle; and even Portland. Denver was edged out by San Francisco, Arlington, Texas; and New York.
