Denver police looking for parolee who is possibly armed

DENVER – Police are looking for a man who they say is possibly armed in a north Denver neighborhood.

Denver Police spokesman John White said police received a call at approximately 3 p.m. Saturday from a person near 48th and Race St. in Denver who said there was a male in the area that has been known to shoot at police officers.

White said the man is a wanted parolee; however they are not releasing his name at this time.

Police say no shots have been fired. A Denver K-9 unit has been called out to the scene.
