DENVER -- A possible suspicious item near the State Capitol building turned out to be a child's medical device, the Denver Police Department said Monday.

Police responded to the 1300 block of Grant Street around 9:20 p.m. The investigation wrapped up about an hour later.

The intersection of West 14th Avenue and Grant Street was closed while police investigated.

The item was found on an RTD bus, the Colorado State Patrol said.
