Denver boy, 9, bitten by family dog

DENVER – A nine-year-old boy sustained bite wounds to his face when he was bitten by his family’s dog Friday morning.

The incident happened in the 5100 block of Perth Street, in the Green Valley Ranch neighborhood.

Denver Police say the boy was playing with the dog, believed to be a border collie mix, when the dog “snapped” at him.

He was transported to a local hospital with puncture wounds to his face.

The dog’s status was not known.
