DENVER — Denver Police are investigating two bank robberies in the Highlands area that took place last week.

The US Bank at 3400 West 38th Ave. was robbed on May 29 around 4 p.m. The suspect — described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, with a goatee — entered the bank with a demand note and then fled the scene.

He is still at large.

Two days later, the First Bank at 4700 West 38th Ave. was robbed around 1 p.m. The suspect — a different man — is described as a white male, 50 to 60 years of age, 6-foot, about 200 to 210 pounds, with gray hair.

The Denver Police have not indicated if these robberies are related.

If anyone has any information on either of these robberies, call the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171.
