DENVER — A cyclist was recovering Monday night from emergency surgery after he said he was targeted in a hit-and-run crash.

It happened Sunday night at West 12th Avenue and Knox Court.

Javin Odegard said he signaled to turn left and checked over his shoulder, but he never saw the big black SUV that hit him coming.

He said the driver of the vehicle didn’t even swerve and he believes he was hit on purpose.

Odegard underwent surgery to treat a severely broken arm.
