DENVER – The Denver Medical Examiner has identified the jogger hit and killed by a church van on Saturday as Michael Fontes, 60, from Littleton.
Police say Fontes was jogging southbound on Downing Street when he attempted to cross Speer Boulevard without a green light.
He was struck by a van carrying members of a church youth group, and then transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the van was not cited.
