DENVER (KDVR) — One person died in a glider crash Thursday afternoon in Larimer County.
Deputies responded around 1:45 p.m. after the crash was reported on private property in the Rawhide Flats area, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. The location is south of Soapstone Prairie Natural Area, near the Wyoming border.
One adult, who was in the glider, was found dead, the sheriff’s office said. The coroner will release that person’s name at another time.
The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash and its cause.
The NTSB said the aircraft was a Schleicher Alexander glider.
