ARVADA, Colo. — A tuition fair at Pomona High School in Arvada helped parents and students understand different ways of affording college on Saturday.

A scholarship panel talked to students in high school and gave them advise on applying for scholarships.

Congressman Jared Polis was on hand to talk to parents about their concerns.

“Colorado families know that a college education can mean a million dollars more in earnings over a lifetime of that person,” said Polis. “It is a million dollar lottery ticket and it’s just a question of coming to cash it in and learning how to do it.”

Post college scholarships and student loan repayment programs were also discussed.
