DENVER — Two people were injured Sunday night in a hit-and-run collision on West Colfax Avenue.
The incident happened about 9 p.m. on eastbound Colfax Avenue above Interstate 25, according to the Denver Police Department. Two people on a motorcycle were involved in a collision with a larger vehicle, police said.
The motorcycle driver suffered minor injuries and the passenger suffered surious but nonlife-threatening injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, possibly a maroon-colored car with three people inside, reportedly fled the scene. Andrew Middleton, 36, was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of vehicular assault and leaving the scene.
Eastbound Colfax was closed for investigation but has since reopened.
