DENVER – The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding who has been breaking into cluster mailboxes in Fort Collins and Bellvue.

Cluster boxes in the 3800 block of Sky Ridge Lane as well as near the intersection of Lodgepole Drive and Red Ridge Trail were damaged over the weekend, said John Schultz of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

“Someone pried open the back of the boxes and removed mail,” Schultz said.

A number of cluster boxes in Rist Canyon may also have been affected, he added.

Some residents have reported getting other people’s mail.

Investigators are asking postal customers to report any instance of suspected mail theft to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Residents are also asked to be alert for any unusual activity occurring around cluster mailboxes and notify the Sheriff’s Office immediately.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is asked to call Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985 or Crime Stoppers at 970-221-6868 where you will remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward.
