DENVER – CDOT has a new campaign to raise awareness for DUI’s by pretending to drive people around drunk.

The social experiment is called “A Few Brews,” where a handful of people go on a beer tasting tour and the driver also appears to drink a beer at every stop and nobody stops him from driving.

The driver was a paid actor drinking non-alcoholic beer, but CDOT wants to prove only a few drinks can be dangerous.

According to the video, a recent CDOT survey showed that 70 percent of men ages 21-35 believe they can safely drive after one or two drinks.

In the video CDOT also says that, on average, 77 people are arrested for DUI in Colorado every day. With one third of traffic fatalities in Colorado being alcohol related.

Remember, don’t drink and drive.
