AUSTIN, Tx. – An end-of-the-semester tradition near the University of Texas campus in Austin nearly turned tragic Friday when a student was struck by a bus.
The incident, which was captured on cell phone video, occurred as dozens of students along Guadalupe Street were chanting slogans and waving foam swords as part of “Foam Sword Friday.”
The video shows a male student darting into the street where he is immediately struck by the bus. Seconds later, he’s helped to his feet and walks away with no signs of serious injury.
