Brush fire burns 16 acres near Roxborough

LITTLETON, Colo. -- A brush fire burned 16.7 acres near Roxborough on Saturday, South Metro Fire Rescue said.

The fire happened around 7000 S. Roxborough Park Road, near Sharptail Ridge Open Space.

Firefighters said the fire was started by a bird that caused a power line to arc.

Officials said the fire was fully contained by 2 p.m. and no structures were threatened.
