BROOMFIELD, Colo. -- The bear that's been running around a neighborhood in Broomfield during the last few days was spotted again Thursday evening.

Wildlife authorities weren't about to let the animal slip away this time.

The young bear was spotted high up in a tree on Mesa Court. Colorado Parks and Wildlife authorities have received multiple reports of the bear in the area since Sunday.

He's become a popular attraction.

Neighbors anxiously wondered where he would turn up next. He even had his own hashtag: #broomfieldbear.

His fame and freedom ended Thursday night. Wildlife officers tranquilized him, tagged him and carted him off to be released back into the wild a long way from the neighborhood in Broomfield.
