MONUMENT, Colo. — A 19-year-old from Monument was arrested Tuesday after a 14-year-old said he sexually assaulted him after the two met online, according to deputies with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

The teen reportedly met the man he knew only as “Zach” on an internet chat site, and had been in conversation with him for some time, authorities said.

On Monday, the teen told Zach where he lived and according to deputies, the suspect arrived at the 14-year-old’s home and sexually assaulted him later that afternoon.

On Tuesday, investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children went to the teen’s home and identified the suspect as Zachary Hamilton-Smith. He was later arrested at his Monument home.

Hamilton-Smith is being held without bond on a charge of sexual assault on a child.
