BOULDER, Colo. – Livability.com has issued their 2013 list of Top 10 College Towns and Boulder is ranked at No. 1.
“Boulder is a city of innovative thinkers, environmentalists and researchers who work as hard as they play,” Livability wrote.
Livability also praised Boulder’s wealth of recreational activities including rock climbing, skiing and hiking.
Like any good college town, food and drink options are plentiful. Live music, art exhibits and film festivals are a constant diversion from intellectual pursuits.
The article also noted CU’s academic strengths including numerous national laboratories bringing international attention to the area.
Perhaps it’s the abundance of sunshine, or majestic mountains views, but healthy and active lifestyles are the norm in Boulder. Sidewalks are divided for walkers and bicyclists. The organic lifestyle is quite prevalent, and locally brewed beers are also quite popular, Livability wrote.
