BOULDER, Colo. -- Lolita’s Market in Boulder was robbed Wednesday for the second time in two weeks, the Boulder Police Department reported.
The convenience store, located at 800 Pearl St., was first robbed by two men in hoodies on Dec. 9. Then, about 3:53 p.m. on Christmas, it was hit again, BPD said.
In Wednesday’s incident, a female clerk said a Hispanic man in his late 20s or early 30s approached the counter and demanded money, BPD reported. He allegedly lifted his shirt to show a handgun tucked into his waistband, but did not draw the weapon.
Police attempted to track the man using K9 units, but were unable to find him, BPD said.
Police were investigating a possible link between the robberies at Lolita’s Market and several similar incidents at Boulder-area sandwich shops, BPD said.
Anyone with was asked to call police at 303-441-4329.
